Tunisia 1943 with What A Tanker

We had another great day of gaming last Sunday afternoon, this time playing 'What a Tanker'. Myself and the lads played two games using John Maguire's very nice collection of North African Allied and Axis armour and some beautiful terrain made by Lev Vykopal from Perth Western Australia. In our first game the Allied forces were throughly beaten by the stronger Axis armour, however in our 2nd game the sides were more evenly matched in armour and weapons. Overall a very enjoyable afternoon of gaming and a very enjoyable gaming system.

Please enjoy the images

I like this alot!
we haven't played the WAT rules yet - may still do though!
This is a period I want to explore though, possibly pre Tiger/Churchill involvement. The scenery & models really make this game and the "extras" make the while scene really "pop".
Glad you had such fun, best wishes,
Jeremy

Thanks for the great feed back Jeremy. The system is very fun to play and can be done at all scales so if you have some 15mm Flames of War or even smaller there is no holding you back.

A terrific-looking game as usual Vinnie.

What a stunning looking game Nathan. Ive dabble with WAT and though it is popular amongst some of the other lads it doesn't quite hit the mark for me however that doesn't mean its not an excellent beer and pretzels game. Great looking figures, vehicles and, of course, table mate.

Hi Carlo thanks for the comments. The terrain really sets the table off I think and Lev does a fantastic job on making it look amazing. The gaming system is definitely for a game which involves beer and pretzels and is a real laugh if you do not take it too seriously.

All the best and again thank you for the great comments

Thanks Matt and Kym for the great comments. I think the placement of terrain certainly make makes a game not only in looks but also in the ability to use the ground as the would have on the day.
