The King of Jerusalem Re-Based

I was not happy with the original command stand so I have added another figure (the Kings Holy advisor) to the stand as the King of Jerusalem would not be seen without a man of cloth close by. I may even have to rebase the other command stand as well sooner or later. The other figures are some more beautifully painted figures by Patrick Conner, which I have just based for Impetvs and are now part of John Maguire's great collection. They represent the Knights of Lazarus foot Sergeants and crossbowmen. All are from the fantastic Perry Miniatures Crusader Range.

Please enjoy.

Australian Fire Support Base - Vietnam

Last week I was invited to the Second Battalion, Royal Australian Regimental Museum to view their outstanding collection, which provided the history of the Battalion from 1946 to Present days. However hidden in one of the corners of the museum I found this fantastic diorama portraying an Australian Fire Support Base during the later stages of our countries involvement in the Vietnam War.   I also found out that two members of our local wargaming club (Dave Lowe and Terry Moran)had made and donated the diorama to the museum a number of years ago. I have to admit the guys have done a fantastic job. They have even included a small clearing patrol, a section of APC's departing the Fire Base and another section of ACP's loading up with platoon of infantry, supporting tanks and many more small additions.

Centurion tanks (a little damaged over time)

The gun line

The clearing patrol

A platoon of infantry mounting up in APC's before going out on patrol

Mortar platoon with three sections of mortars conducting a fire support mission

Departing section of APC's with an infantry platoon on board

One section of APC's remains in support of the fire base

More Crusaders - Perry Miniatures

As promised some more of those beautifully painted Perry Miniatures by Patrick Conner. Alias the basing is my contribution. Again the figures are part of John Maguire's Heavenly Army, which I hope we will soon seen on the battlefield in the not to distant future. The figures are based for Impetvs.

Please enjoy. Regards

The King Of Jerusalem - Fireforge Games

I have just finished basing so more beautifully painted miniatures for a good friend and could not resist placing a few images up on the blog. The main figure in both stand is the King of Jerusalem by Fireforge Miniatures and is a very nice figure. The other mounted figures are from the Perry Miniatures Crusader range, all of which have been painted by the very talented Patrick Connor.

I have a few more images of the rest of the Army but I will place them up on the blog later. Until then please enjoy.
