My latest post is of a couple of units I have just finished basing for a good friend. The figures are meant to represent mounted Spanish Conquistadors for the Basic Impetvs Army List, hence the reason I have placed a little jungle foliage on the bases. The mounted mounted figures have been painted by the very talented Leroy Simpson and are all from the Wargames Foundry 16th Century range. I have added a few additional shields to give them the more Spanish look. The command was just made up of some left over figures.

Last Sunday Myself and few lads from our club got together and had a crack at the latest Impetvs 2 rules, which we played on a 6x4 table, almost edge to edge. The army lists however were from the Basic Impetvs 0.2 for ease of time and set up, however I think next time we played we just go with the army lists from the books. The game and new introduced rules played well and it was easy to pick up as we also play Basic Impetvs and Baroque (pike & shot version of Impetvs). Just a few additional rules we forgot every now and then, namely the lock shields rule with no pursuit. But overall the new system is good and certainly gives you a decent game and feel for the period.

There is no better way than to spend a rainy day than playing a game of Dead Hand's Hand.......well there is mostly a few other things that come to mind? However this afternoon we had a nice little game of DMH with Jeff Smith and Brian Buskell. The ganges are from Jeff's very extensive DMH collection and the majority of buildings are from my collection. We unfortunately only had time to play one scenario not all three so I am sorry for the lack of action shots.
