Another Crack at Bolt Action - 1000pt Game

Not only did we play a bit go DMH the other night at the club but the boys also played a nice small game of Bolt Action - 1000pts pre side. So while the were playing I managed to take a few images of the game. All the figures have been painted by the talented Leroy Simpson and he also scratch built the building. It was a pretty even result for both the British and Germans. A piat team finally got the Panther with a sneaky rear shot.

You may also notice there are a few Dad's Army lads mixed in with the British they are from the Wargames Foundry WWII range and make for some funny characters on the table...not so serious is how we like to play. So plea enjoy the photos.

Regards

Vinnie

Wonderful looking game Nathan. Do the boys put down railway talus for roads etc? Must be a delicate operation when it's time to pack away!

Awesome looking game! All those small details like the crooked frame above the fireplace... simply awesome.

No. Carlo it is a mix of BBQ sorbent and carpenters sand. Once the game is completed we just tip it back in the container, very simple really.

I really like your roads but googling doesn't reveal to me what either bbq sorbent or carpenter's sand is. Can you give us a link with these materials?

Mikko,

I have added a link for the BBQ Fatsorb I use for the rocks:

The sand in a very fine sand almost like a beach sand which I get from the local hardware store. I mix the two for basing and the roads.

I hope that helps
