Perry Miniatures - General Gordon's Last stand

My latest post is again another of Leroy Simpson's master pieces, for the great Perry Miniature Sudan collection. For those not familiar with the range or the period the vignette is of a moment frozen in time of the General Gordon's last stand prior to the fall of the Khartoun in 1885. Leroy also made into a nice little trophy for the winning participant in our Colonial competition. But I would have to say if you like the period you need to have one of these, if not on the table then somewhere in the "Cave".

As the lucky receiver of this lovely trophy, I can add the pictures don't do it justice, it is an awesome piece of brushwork indeed.
