The Boys from Perth 2

The Boys from Perth, under the leadership and guidance of Carlo Pagano, last weekend put on a fantastic Successor Wars (WAB) competition at their local club. Carlo has allowed me to post a few of the great shots taken over the weekends play --Enjoy.

Thanks Carlo

G'day Vinnie
I had the pleasure of taking part in the Successor weekend - superbly organised by Carlo and a lot of fun. Except of course, the climactic moment depicted in the third pic down...when my army general, Demetrius Porliocetes, was struck down by Eumenes (Carlo) and his bodyguards :( (my guy is the Newline Alexander figure on the left).
Cheers
Paul (AKA Antigonus Monophthalmus)

Paul,
Looked like a great weekend, sorry about Demetrius, but Eumenes was renound for killing the opposing generals in hand to hand combat. Your figures look great, is your whole army Newline Design?

About half Newline and half Old Glory (with a few dozen Foundry Thracians thrown in). I am pretty happy with the way they are turning out, but there is a long way to go!
I might also add that Carlo's new Argyraspids looked suitably magnificent and awe-inspiring as they marched towards my own quaking phalanx - couldn't remember if he said that was your's or Leroy's work. The only thing that saved me from the long red pikes was my elephant stampeding behind their flank; distracted them just long enough for the game to end!
Cheers
Paul.

Paul, your figures look great. Always good to see so many well painted figures on the table. Argyraspids were the ones I had painted last month for Carlo. The red spears, I think set them off well.

Thanks for that Vinnie - I am getting a lot of inspiration from 'Lonely Gamers!'

Cheers, and keep up the great work,

Paul.
